Supplement labels that look trustworthy on the shelf and pass your printer's checks

Shoppers often decide whether a supplement looks safe from a thumbnail. We design the front panel so it says what the product is at arm's length, set your supplement facts panel cleanly, and build print files with dielines, bleed and correct color profiles. Pricing is per SKU.

What’s included

Front-panel design

A clear order for brand, product name, format and the benefit you're allowed to claim, readable on a shelf and at Amazon thumbnail size.

Supplement facts panel

Your facts panel and required disclosure text set cleanly and legibly from the information you supply.

A system for variants

Color coding and naming rules so flavors and sizes look like members of one range instead of unrelated products.

Print-ready files

Artwork built on your printer's dieline with bleed, correct color profiles and the file formats your printer or co-packer asks for.

Mockups for sign-off

Previews of the label on your container, so you can judge it before anything goes to print.

Printer rejections handled

If your printer bounces a file, fixing it is on us.

A good fit if

  • Brands launching their first one or two SKUs
  • Brands whose launch label now looks homemade next to the competition
  • Lines adding flavors or sizes that need to look like one family
  • Founders moving to a new printer or co-packer who need clean files to its spec

Not included

  • Writing or substantiating health claims. You supply final claims and required disclosure text
  • Regulatory or legal review of the label
  • Boxes, pouches and outer packaging, which are a separate packaging design service
  • Printing and production runs

From kickoff to handover

  1. Step 1

    Specs and copy

You send the dieline or container size, your printer's file requirements and your label copy. Placeholder copy is fine to start.

  2. Step 2

    Design

We design the front panel and the facts panel and show them on a mockup of your container.

  3. Step 3

    Final claims and approval

You supply your final, substantiated claims and disclosure text. We place them, and you sign off on the finished artwork.

  4. Step 4

    Print files

We build the print-ready files in the formats your printer asked for and send them over.

Questions about Supplement label design

Can you start before our claims are final?

Yes. We can design around placeholder copy, but nothing goes to print until you've supplied your final, substantiated claims and the disclosure text your product requires.

Do you check the label for compliance?

No. Claim substantiation and regulatory compliance stay with you as the brand owner, and we'd recommend a regulatory review before print. Our job is to make what you're allowed to say look credible. We never add health claims to make a design stand out.

How does pricing work across several flavors or SKUs?

Label design is priced per SKU, and the rate drops to $249 per SKU from three SKUs, which suits a flavor range.

What happens if our printer rejects the files?

Send us the printer's note and we'll fix the files at no extra cost. Getting the dieline, bleed and color profiles right is part of the job.

We're adding a flavor. Can you match our existing labels?

Yes. Send the current artwork files, or the best versions you have, and we'll design the new SKU so it sits with the rest of the line.
