Know what you're building before you pay anyone to build it

In five days we turn your idea into the documents a build team needs: a defined problem, user flows, a bounded version one, a prioritised backlog, a release roadmap, architecture options and a build estimate. If we build it with you, the sprint fee is credited toward the build. If someone else builds it, they start from a written plan that you own.

What’s included

Problem and outcome definition

What you're solving, for whom, and what a working version one looks like in terms you can measure.

User flows

The paths a member, client or customer takes through the product, including the failure cases like a declined card or a cancelled booking.

MVP scope

A written boundary around version one, with every feature on your list marked in, out or later.

Prioritised backlog

Features ordered by goal, evidence, effort and risk, ready for a build team to pick up.

Release roadmap

What ships in which release, and what each release has to prove before you fund the next one.

Architecture options and risks

Two to three ways to build it, compared on cost, speed and lock-in, plus the delivery risks we'd flag if it were our money.

Acceptance criteria and build estimate

Pass or fail definitions for each scoped feature, and an estimate built from the scope instead of from a sales call.

A good fit if

  • Gym owners, coaches and wellness brands with an app idea and a quote that feels like a guess
  • Health-tech founders about to spend their first build budget
  • Teams whose feature list is longer than their budget
  • Non-technical founders who want to brief developers on their own terms

Not included

  • Visual UI design. The sprint settles flows and scope; screens get designed during the build.
  • Writing production code
  • Legal, clinical or regulatory review. Products that handle health data or make health claims need the Healthtech Blueprint.
  • Product management after day five (that's fractional product planning)

From kickoff to handover

  1. Day 1

    Problem and users

A kickoff session on what you're solving, who it's for and what you already have: notes, a feature list, apps you like, old quotes.

  2. Day 2

    Flows

We map how each type of user moves through the product, including the paths where something goes wrong.

  3. Days 3 and 4

    Scope, backlog and architecture

We cut version one down to size, order the backlog and compare build approaches. You review the calls as we make them.

  4. Day 5

    Roadmap, estimate and handover

The release roadmap, acceptance criteria and build estimate arrive with the rest, and we walk you through the whole set.

Questions about MVP Planning Sprint

How does the credit toward the build work?

If you go ahead and build the product with us, the full sprint fee is credited toward the build. If you don't, you keep every document and owe nothing more.

Can another agency or my own developers build from the sprint documents?

Yes. Everything is written so another team can build from it, and you own all of it. Agencies quoting from the same written scope also give you quotes you can compare.

What if the sprint shows my idea is too big for my budget?

Then you find out in the first week, while the build budget is still unspent. The scope and roadmap split the product into what fits the budget now and what waits for a later release, so you still leave with something buildable.

What do you need from me during the five days?

Time for the kickoff, quick answers when questions come up, and a review of the scope calls as we make them. Send whatever you have beforehand. A rough idea is enough to start.

Should I book the sprint or the Healthtech Blueprint?

Gym apps, coaching platforms and booking tools usually need only the sprint. If your product stores health data, makes health claims, deals with mental health or connects to clinical workflows, the Blueprint adds the boundary mapping those products need.
